Steven Piskorowski

Steven Piskorowski is a revert to the Catholic Faith. After being born and baptized into the Catholic Church he left Catholicism at age 23 in favor of Evangelical Protestantism. He spent 6 years in his Evangelical Church (Bethesda Christian Church in Sterling Heights, MI.) in which he founded a counter-cult ministry teaching fellow believers how to reason with Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons as well as Atheists.

Steven was challenged by some in that church to teach a course on Catholicism and instruct the group on how to get Catholics "saved". Seeing as how he was a former Catholic (and familiar with many Catholic teachings) he felt he was up to the task. After studying Catholic theology in light of scripture, tradition and church history, he attempted to officially disprove the Catholic Church and its teachings on several levels.

Shocked at what he discovered in the early church and what the early Christians believed, he realized the error of his ways as well as the errors of protestant theology and returned back to the Catholic Church on Mother's Day 1997.

Steven has since been active in reaching out to various non-Catholic groups sharing his experiences in an effort to draw as many as possible into the fullness of the faith subsisting within Catholic Church. His burning desire is to fulfill his part in Jesus' prayer to our Heavenly Father that the "church may be one even as he and our Heavenly Father are one". Steven is the chairman of the annual Mid-West Catholic Apologetics Conference and teaches the defense of the faith classes at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, MI. He is also a contributor to the Army of Apostles podcast series heard on-line at Steven's life verse is 1 Peter 3:15-16.
